The fourth and final part: a little over marathon distance.
Cycling
Our third lap and third stop.
Second part of our 42.5km ride; second stop.
Each time we stopped, my Garmin reset itself. Grr!
The weather forecast for this afternoon is a little dodgy so we decided to borrow some MTBs from the fabulous Gstaaderhof Hotel for a little venture out on bikes.
Heading to the Alps tomorrow, so thought we’d get some exercise done first (ignoring the 25km I’ve walked this week getting over the calf miuscle injury).
So after my fenix 3 decided to finish the first bit for me – I suppose it thought that drinking wine wasn’t approriate behaviour – this was the second part back home.
Went for a little cycle ride ending this part at Zizzi Canary Wharf for a bottle of wine and some Prosecco…
We stopped for lunch 24km and for the second time in a row, the Garmin Edge 810 froze and had to be rebooted, losing all the data. One for the bin, I think, and use the fenix 3 instead. Useless and expensive pile of junk.
Well it was actually longer: the route went down Whitehall and along Birdcage Walk, but the Garmin Edge 810 had frozen by this point and took an eternity – after a reboot – to get a GPS fix.
